WHO WE ARE?

1-      HUGS PROJECT stands for “Helping Unfortunate Groups & Society” Project.

2-      The movement was started since 2006 at Taman Negara Kuala Tahan, Pahang, Malaysia.

3-      HUGS PROJECT is a group of people who want to do their part in promoting & implementing HUMANITY+CHARITY+COMMUNITY and CONSERVATION based tourism activities in Malaysia.

4-      HUGS PROJECT is an UNDERGROUND NON PROFIT MOVEMENT that connects ANYONE to existing organizations and people in Malaysia where they can make a positive impact. By providing hands-on service opportunities to the volunteers and contributors, we create an environment where volunteers and sponsors can contribute to positive causes while supporting long standing local initiatives that promote the overall development of Malaysia.

5-      Our volunteers from 24 countries come from all walks of life. They come from different backgrounds, cultures, communities and professions.

6-      Our policies are simple: Just Help! Don’t Ask. Always think positively!

OUR INVOLVED PAST & CURRENT PROJECT

·         2006: We created Community Based Tourism websites : www.tamannegara.org to provide free information’s for anyone who plan to travel to Taman Negara. However, our Community Based Tourism websites was blocked by SKMM on 2017 until today without any clarifications although we already email them a few times.

·         2009: TEMOLEH CONSERVATION PROJECT TAMAN NEGARA, KUALA TAHAN. PAHANG |Initiative to protect the endangered Temoleh Fish from being extinct. ·         2011:SAVE MERAPOH CAVES MERAPOH, KUALA LIPIS, PAHANG| Our ongoing effort to protect Merapoh limestone complex and forest. Government plan to build the largest Cement Plant in Asia which will destroy 1000 acres of limestone complex and forest. 10,000 villagers will also badly be affected if this plan proceed.
